Vivaldi, the browser known for its extensive customization options, has released version 6.5 of its software for both desktop and mobile platforms.
On the desktop, the standout feature of this update is the addition of the Sessions Panel, catering to users who struggle to manage multiple open tabs. According to Vivaldi, a Session can contain tabs from a single window, all windows, and optionally, Workspaces too.
The Sessions feature offers a convenient way to deal with tab overload and start with a clean browser while keeping all important tabs safely stored in the Sessions list.

In addition to the Sessions Panel, the browser now offers the ability to back up snapshots of open tabs every hour, with a 30-day history. Synced Tabs can now be accessed from the Address Field and Windows Panel, and Workspace Rules can be set up to organize tabs into the correct Workspace.
One of the most notable features of this update is the synchronization of a user’s entire browsing history across all devices, providing seamless browsing experience across multiple platforms.
Despite catching up with its rivals in some respects, Vivaldi continues to prioritize privacy, emphasizing that all user data is end-to-end encrypted and not shared with third parties.
The iOS version of the browser has also been updated, offering support for the new synchronization functionality. The Android version is expected to be released soon.
For iOS users, Vivaldi now provides the ability to customize the layout and appearance of the browser, allowing users to move the Address Bar and Tab Bar to the bottom of the screen, change the order of search suggestions, and customize the Start Page wallpaper and user interface colors to match the visited web page.
Overall, version 6.5 of Vivaldi presents valuable improvements in synchronization and session management, addressing common issues faced by modern web users.
